Carolyn is an adjunct professor of history, a former psychotherapist, an author, and a student of mythology and ritual. This website offers up-to-the-moment alternative reporting of U.S. and international news, articles containing information and opinion, and a venue of support and connection for awake individuals who want not only to be informed, but to organize their lives and communities in ways that most effectively assist them in navigating what current events are manifesting.

Truth To Power has entered its second year of providing news and quality articles to keep our readership informed and prepared for the turbulent times we are entering. Obviously, awake individuals and those becoming aware are hungry for this kind of information or else our readership would not be increasing so dramatically. A few months ago Truth To Power made its first fundraising appeal which turned out to be successful enough to upgrade the website and allow me the resources I needed to do ongoing research over the summer. Growing Pains And Pleasure
As a result of our dramatically growing readership, we feel it's absolutely necessary to expand by implementing an online store which will make available products for keeping our readers up to speed on world and national events and preparation for Peak Oil, global warming, and global economic meltdown. These include books, DVDs, and other products related to preparation for collapse, energy and water conservation, food security, and more. Also, the online store will allow us to create more space on the website for paying advertisers who have related products and services to offer.
However, we can't launch this expansion without your help. Please consider making a donation at the site by clicking on the donation button which allows you to donate using Paypal. Since our last fundraising appeal, all writers of exclusive articles on the site have donated their contributions because not enough funds were raised to pay them after the cost of the site upgrade was covered. Currently, if every subscriber to Truth To Power donated only $10, this would allow us not only to finance the implementation of the online store and purchase inventory, but in addition, we would have the funds to pay several writers for contributing articles to the site. When the online store has been installed, we will also provide a monthly pledge system such as public radio and TV have implemented over the years, allowing readers to donate a pledged amount each month. This makes contributing easier for you and alleviates the need for regular fundraising appeals from Truth To Power.
Meanwhile, I am conducting numerous interviews with individuals regarding options for living more sustainable lifestyles and consciously preparing for collapse. This will free up more time for me to work on my book in process The Spirituality Of Collapse: Restoring Life On A Dying Planet. You will be hearing more about the development of the book as it unfolds. In addition, while I continue to teach a full load of classes and devote many hours a day to the website, I am in the process of relocating with a group of friends. Please do not ask me where I'm relocating; I'm not ready to tell you yet, but I know I must leave the Southwest with its torrid summers, impending catastrophic drought, and a burgeoning population that cares about little else but encouraging more growth and land degradation. The Website's New Look In the next few weeks the website's appearance will be evolving not only because of implementing the store (with your help) but because Truth To Power has joined the affiliates program of our server MRW Connected. This means that other MRW websites with online stores such as Solari, 9/11 Truth, and Jon Rappaport's site will advertise on our site as we will advertise on theirs. Ultimately that will enhance the traffic and success of all sites involved.
For as long as electrical energy is available (and that will become very dicey at some point), this site will remain a beacon of information and support for individuals worldwide who understand that the collapse of civilization is well underway and that if they intend to survive, they must diligently prepare now. Truth To Power wants to support everyone who is making that effort by offering alternative news and the latest and best information for collapse preparation.
