Very clear exposition, one of the best. She’s a clear fluent speaker a pleasure to listen to her. I’m almost 66 and supported by medication to continue longer, so I’m not worried about nthe. We’ve had so much war, violence and destruction, especially of the natural world, in the last 110 years that we have disabled the natural sacred balance of Gaia who without malice can no longer control the climate monster that without malice will reduce us maybe to nthe as the process is exponential. Understanding this even now I can hardly believe it but the facts are there.

This is to ask Jennifer Hynes if she does not know about military geoengineering as described by Rosalie Bertell in “Planet Earth. The Latest Weapon of War” in 2000 already. This study shows that greenhouse gases are not really responsible for climate warming, but experiments with the atmosphere that go back to WW II and the 50ies and 60ies of the 20th century already. So, if she does not want to support these experiments that have taken place to de-ice the Arctic as well, she should consider Bertell´s findings. If not she is going to support the new “civil” geoengineers who want these experiments like SRM to be part of “saving the planet” – whereas they have caused the dilemma first of all and are continuing to cause it.
We as the Planetary Movement for Mother Earth have commented all this in our Information letters since 2010.

While I certainly believe that geo-engineering has been a factor, to blame catastrophic climate change exclusively on it is absurd. Humans will do just about anything to deny that they have participated in murdering the planet. The rape and pillage of the planet is a moral issue as much as it is an environmental issue. The ramifications of taking responsibility for OUR PART in catastrophic climate change is challenging but necessary emotional and spiritual work which is why it is so much easier to blame it all entirely on those “nasty geo-engineers.”

    Aubade
    By Philip Larkin
I work all day, and get half-drunk at night.
Waking at four to soundless dark, I stare.
In time the curtain-edges will grow light.
Till then I see what’s really always there:
Unresting death, a whole day nearer now,
Making all thought impossible but how
And where and when I shall myself die.
    Arid interrogation: yet the dread
    Of dying, and being dead,
Flashes afresh to hold and horrify.

The mind blanks at the glare. Not in remorse
—The good not done, the love not given, time
    Torn off unused—nor wretchedly because
An only life can take so long to climb
    Clear of its wrong beginnings, and may never;
But at the total emptiness for ever,
The sure extinction that we travel to
And shall be lost in always. Not to be here,
    Not to be anywhere,
And soon; nothing more terrible, nothing more true.

This is a special way of being afraid
No trick dispels. Religion used to try,
    That vast moth-eaten musical brocade
Created to pretend we never die,
And specious stuff that says No rational being
Can fear a thing it will not feel, not seeing
That this is what we fear—no sight, no sound,
No touch or taste or smell, nothing to think with,
Nothing to love or link with,
The anaesthetic from which none come round.

And so it stays just on the edge of vision,
A small unfocused blur, a standing chill
That slows each impulse down to indecision.
Most things may never happen: this one will,
And realisation of it rages out
In furnace-fear when we are caught without
People or drink. Courage is no good:
It means not scaring others. Being brave
Lets no one off the grave.
Death is no different whined at than withstood.

Slowly light strengthens, and the room takes shape.
It stands plain as a wardrobe, what we know,
Have always known, know that we can’t escape,
Yet can’t accept. One side will have to go.
Meanwhile telephones crouch, getting ready to ring
In locked-up offices, and all the uncaring
Intricate rented world begins to rouse.
The sky is white as clay, with no sun.
    Work has to be done.
Postmen like doctors go from house to house.

It’s 1:06 am. I’m sitting in the dark and just read Aubade. So true. It’s the elephant in the room of life that most try to pretend will never come. It is the realization that we are born into an existence that is a one way street. I wouldn’t miss this moment of consciousness for anything.

    Hi
I am a permaculture teacher who accepts the facts of the 6th extinction. This morning I watched Jennifer’s presentation – very clear, factual (as much as I can ascertain) and direct. How can I get this slide presentation?
    Please let me know.
    Thank you.

hi, Thank you for this outstanding presentation! absorbed your comment about geoengineering not being a big factor in the demise of our planet, agreed, however Jennifer Hynes does not even mention it in her presentation nor the idea that the jetstream has been hijacked by HAARP and similar efforts, yanking it north before it gets to the CA coast. Not a game changer probably but certainly a factor in who’s doing what in this disaster.
    Thank you,
    Catherine McCormack

Thank you for the effort and courage it took to put this together and to present it. I am going to share it with those that I know are ready for the message or at least nearly close enough. I would love to see a shorter version intended for the open minded. Not many people have the attention span necessary to absorb all of this information. Thanks again, Bruce

It’s now late 2017, and I read that these last few years have been some of the warmest on record, So be it….. I’ve watched this drama now for 80 years, and the arrogance of those of money and power is truly tragic. Truthfully, the disintegration of leadership in the US government has been shocking. Since the Kennedy years it’s been all downhill, especially with the likes of George Bush, Donald Rumsfeld, Richard Cheney and Condelezza Rice dragging us into yet another foreign war……. Together with the destruction of the US dollar by the Federal Reserve Bank our country is but a shadow of it’s former stature. And this is where we stand in the face of the worse environmental catastrophy to ever face this world……. What a tragic end we seem to be facing following all of these years of evolution.
